I've been tagged!

Wed Sep 26, 2007, 10:24 AM
The rules:
*Each person tagged must post 8 random (hopefully interesting) facts about themselves
Each tag should write a journal of each of these facts.
Pick 8 more artists to be tagged and post them in the end of your journal.
Go to each artists' page and tell them they've been tagged.

Facts about me:

1) I really do love to read.
2) I am actually a pretty shy person.
3) I can pick things up with my toes!
4) I use lip gloss obsessively.
5) My favorite colors are black, pink, and purple.
6) I love the sound of the rain and running water.
7) I am a softie for animals and babies, but I am pro-choice.
8) I am very flexible. hehe...

I tag:

Artist Statement

Sat Dec 2, 2006, 12:36 PM
Let the camera do all the work. If you are a good photographer you wouldn’t need to use Photoshop. Most end results in using Photoshop turn out so distorted and abstract it almost doesn’t seem like an actual photograph any more. In my eyes, I see the effect as if you were to literally paint a photo. You are taking an original 3D image and painting over it with a 2D image. The 3D image in the photograph now becomes a digitally alerted image. Now no longer being considered a “photograph”, but a painting or digitally altered image. Therefore, you technically do not need to have any skills in photography to create a Photoshoped image. That’s were you separate the photographers and the digital artist. Let simplistic beauty be captured by a camera lens, rather then be falsely crated by a mouse on your computer. I am a photographer whose aim is to be true to techniques solely based on my 35mm camera.
